The Supreme Pastimes
4:39
Midnight shriek and iron clatter,
The gates swing closed like fate’s cruel laughter.
Kaṁsa wakes with breath of dread,
"The hour is born that strikes me dead!"
Devakī weeps with trembling plea,
“Spare this child, let her be free.
A daughter, not your destined bane—
Have mercy, let her soul remain.”
But he crushed her hopes on stone,
Cries of blood where love had shone.
Yet the sky revealed her form—
Durgā rose in thunderstorm.
Eight-armed goddess in the sky,
With blazing arms and battle cry.
Demigods descend in praise,
As Kaṁsa trembles, lost in haze.
He weeps and kneels in shame’s dark flood,
“My crimes have soaked my hands in blood.
But soul is soul—forever whole,
Not chained by death, nor body’s role.”
But he crushed her hopes on stone,
Cries of blood where love had shone.
Yet the sky revealed her form—
Durgā rose in thunderstorm.
A night of grace, a twisted thread,
A demon bows, a curse half-dead.
But evil’s mind shall shift again—
The cruel will plot, the blood will stain.
Burn the Vedas, slay the cows,
Strike where light in silence bows.
The blind lead on with sharpened jaws,
Mocking dharma, shattering laws.
But he crushed her hopes on stone,
Cries of blood where love had shone.
Yet the sky revealed her form—
Durgā rose in thunderstorm.
But he crushed her hopes on stone,
Cries of blood where love had shone.
Yet the sky revealed her form—
Durgā rose in thunderstorm.
Durgā rose in thunderstorm.

The Supreme Pastimes
4:48
In the silence of the prison, behind chains and dread,
A storm was rising while the stars softly bled.
Through time and space, the Absolute drew near,
Not born in sin — but born to end our fear.
The skies aligned with Rohiṇī's grace,
Peace spread like firelight across time and place.
Lotus bloomed and rivers sang again,
A child divine would walk among men.
He was born not from karma, but will of the flame,
With lotus and conch, He shattered the name.
Chains broke like silence, the heavens unfurled,
Kṛṣṇa descended — the light of the world.
Devakī trembled, love wrapped in fright,
In her arms lay the Lord, glowing with night.
“Hide Your form,” she wept, “O infinite one,
Lest Kaṁsa awaken before morning is done.”
Through thunder and flood, Vasudeva strode,
With Śeṣa above him, the Yamunā bowed.
A serpent’s hood, a father’s vow,
He crossed through time — and none knew how.
He was born not from karma, but will of the flame,
With lotus and conch, He shattered the name.
Chains broke like silence, the heavens unfurled,
Kṛṣṇa descended — the light of the world.
Three births You gave them, love without end,
As Pṛśnigarbha, Upendra, and now to defend.
The stars bore witness, the wise bowed low,
In silence You came, the cosmos to show.
From causal depths to atoms' core,
You shine within, beyond each door.
And now in Gokula, the world still sleeps,
While the Truth in a cradle gently weeps.
He was born not from karma, but will of the flame,
With lotus and conch, He shattered the name.
Chains broke like silence, the heavens unfurled,
Kṛṣṇa descended — the light of the world.
He was born not from karma, but will of the flame,
With lotus and conch, He shattered the name.
He was born not from karma, but will of the flame
Kṛṣṇa descended — the light of the world.

The Supreme Pastimes
4:30
Kaṁsa’s iron throne spread shadows wide
Allied with demons, drunk on pride
He shattered peace, he shattered kin
While Devakī trembled deep within
Yet from the dark arose a flame
Ananta stirred in Devakī’s name
The Lord of time, beyond the womb
Prepared to step into the gloom
The vow is kept, the Absolute descends
To guard the truth, to guide, to cleanse
The unborn walks where demons reign
And plants His feet on earthly pain
Yogamāyā veils the sacred light
Transfers Balarāma into night
Devakī glows with sacred fire
While Kaṁsa burns in dread and ire
O lotus-eyed, O mercy's flame
The gods appear and praise Your name
From Brahmā’s lips, the prayers flow free
Truth eternal, revealed to see
The vow is kept, the Absolute descends
To guard the truth, to guide, to cleanse
The unborn walks where demons reign
And plants His feet on earthly pain
No void, no veil, no mental chain
Can grasp His form or break His name
Beyond all senses, still He came
To shatter doubt and burn the shame
The sages see, the fools remain
In realms of thought, they drown in vain
But those who serve, with love and breath
Transcend the birth, transcend the death
The vow is kept, the Absolute descends
To guard the truth, to guide, to cleanse
The unborn walks where demons reign
And plants His feet on earthly pain
The vow is kept, the Absolute descends
The lotus blooms where shadow ends

The Supreme Pastimes
4:10
The Earth wept in silence, burdened by false kings,
Demons in disguise, pulling the world’s strings.
Bhūmi took the form of a cow in despair,
Tears like rivers fell through heaven’s air.
To Brahmā’s court she walked with shattered breath,
The weight of chaos close to death.
Through the ocean of milk, gods did appeal,
To Him who sleeps where truths reveal.
A flame will rise, the dark to tame,
The Lord descends in Kṛṣṇa’s name.
A warrior soul, divine and wise,
To shatter fear and break disguise.
Kaṁsa heard the voice from skyward fate,
A doom foretold, too strong to abate.
Devakī’s blood would birth the storm,
A child of light in human form.
Vasudeva, heart torn but bold,
Spoke of death, of truths untold.
Of souls that shift like moon on tide,
Of life reborn and fear denied.
A flame will rise, the dark to tame,
The Lord descends in Kṛṣṇa’s name.
A warrior soul, divine and wise,
To shatter fear and break disguise.
One by one, their children fell,
Kaṁsa ruled with chains of hell.
Yet still the hope, the sacred breath,
Would rise beyond the reach of death.
A sage appeared with fire in voice,
To make the fate of gods rejoice.
The prison walls, the silent plea—
All waited for the One to be.
A flame will rise, the dark to tame,
The Lord descends in Kṛṣṇa’s name.
A warrior soul, divine and wise,
To shatter fear and break disguise.
A flame will rise, the dark to tame,
The Lord descends in Kṛṣṇa’s name.
A warrior soul, divine and wise,
To shatter fear and break disguise.
